SUMMARY:The RAMSES Code, Next Generation
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\nComputer Science and Applied Mathematics, Physi
cs, Solid Earth Dynamics\n\nThe RAMSES Code, Next Generation\n\nTeyssier,
Potter\n\nWe present our strategy to implement the next generation of the
RAMSES code, a community code with adaptive mesh refinement for astrophysi
cal fluid flows. Our current prototype is based on a global multi-level Ca
rtesian grid indexing scheme with a software cache. The MPI and OpenMP bac
kend is hidden to the developer. We will discuss the present status of the
prototype and elaborate on our strategy for the next step. An important p
oint will be to allow for efficient use of accelerators, with an emphasis
on using higher order methods for MHD flows.
