SUMMARY:Fortran Legacy Code Porting for Modern GPU: Showcasing the Experie
nce with the AVBP Combustion Code
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\nComputer Science and Applied Mathematics, Emerg
ing Application Domains, Climate and Weather, Physics, Engineering\n\nFort
ran Legacy Code Porting for Modern GPU: Showcasing the Experience with the
AVBP Combustion Code\n\nStaffelbach, Legaux\n\nStories on porting a large
eddy simulation solver for compressible reactive multi-phase flows writte
n in Fortran, to modern GPU architectures using OpenACC will be shared. Th
is is a legacy code written in Fortran – AVBP – a parallel CFD
code that solves the three-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes on unst
ructured and hybrid grids. It will be shown that it is currently possible
to benefit from the acceleration of these systems without sacrificing code
  maintainability or portability.
