SUMMARY:Kokkos for Performance Portability: Recent and Upcoming Capabiliti
 es
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\nComputer Science and Applied Mathematics, Engin
eering\n\nKokkos for Performance Portability: Recent and Upcoming Capabili
ties\n\nTrott\n\nKokkos is a C++ Performance Portability Programming Model
developed for large scientific and engineering applications which cannot
afford to rewrite to a different programming model when targeting a new ha
rdware architecture. Kokkos is now the primary on-node parallel programmin
g model for the C++ code base at Sandia National Laboratories and is used
at numerous HPC centers and universities. In this talk we will give an upd
ate on what Kokkos can do and where it is going. In particular the talk wi
ll give insights into how Kokkos aligns with future C++ standard capabilit
ies, and how those impact linear algebra libraries.
