SUMMARY:Respy - A Package for the Solution and Estimation of Structural Mi
 croeconometric Models
DESCRIPTION:Minisymposium\nEmerging Application Domains\n\nRespy - A Packa
ge for the Solution and Estimation of Structural Microeconometric Models\n
 \nGabler, Eisenhauer\n\nPredicting how forward-looking individuals respond
to policy changes that have not yet been implemented is one of the most c
hallenging tasks in economics. respy is an open source package that provid
es an efficient and modern implementation of algorithms for the solution a
nd estimation of several classical structural microeconomic models aimed a
t answering these questions. It provides a pure Python as well as a scalar
and parallel Fortran implementation. All are extensively tested and subje
ct to automatic and peer code reviews, using Quantified Code, Codacy and L
andscape. Due to a hybrid parallelization strategy, the code can run effic
iently on large clusters. The code base is used in several academic public
ations and is serving as a starting point for many more.
