DescriptionScientific campaigns are increasingly tightening the feedback and validation loop between simulation and observational data. The linking of experimental and observational data from empirically driven facilities and computational facilities are giving rise to cross-facility workflows. As we scale up such pipelines for scientific discovery, these cross-facility workflows require each participating facility to overcome hurdles to work in an end-to-end manner. These hurdles impede the rapid standup of workflows that straddle facilities. This minisymposium brings together the perspectives of disparate collaborating facilities, explores each facility’s needs, and aims to offer a roadmap for aligning the cross-facility goals and overcoming impedance within collaborations.
