Getting There
Public Transportation (purchase the ticket before you get onboard the tram)
- From Zurich Central Station take tram no. 6 (towards the Zoo) and get off at the “ETH/Universitätsspital” stop. You will need a ticket that is valid for zone 110 (City of Zurich).
- From the airport take tram no. 10 (towards Bahnhofplatz/HB) and get off at the “ETH/Universitätsspital” stop. You will need a ticket valid for 3 zones.

The PASC19 Conference is delighted to welcome registered participants to the optional evening social event to be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
The dinner will take place at the Fork & Bottle, known for offering one of the biggest beer gardens in the city. Located in a relaxed country setting on the edge of Zurich, the place works directly with local farmers and offers delicious specialties.

The evening social event is not included in the registration fee and can be booked as a supplementary option.
The dinner costs CHF 50.00, which covers a Burger Party with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, dessert, a glass of wine or beer (draught), mineral water and coffee. Additional drinks will be charged on consumption.

- Airplane
Zurich Airport is just 10km (6 miles) from the city center.
Depending on the traffic, the fastest way to get to the center of Zurich is by train. Trains run daily from Zurich Airport to Zurich Main Station every 5–10 minutes between around 5.00am and 0.30am. Search connection.
- Rail
Zurich's Main Railway Station is the largest and one of the oldest railway stations in Switzerland. With over 2,900 trains per day, it’s also one of the busiest railway stations in the world. The station is a major hub and connects Zurich with Paris, Milan, Hamburg, Munchen, Vienna, Budapest and other cities in Europe.
The Zurich Main Railway Station is located right at the heart of town and hosts the Tourist Service of Zurich Tourism. Online timetable SBB.
- Car
Travelling to Zurich by car is easy thanks to a well-developed network of roads.
The speed limit on Swiss motorways is 120km/h, and that of urban motorways between 60 and 100 km/h. There is a toll to pay (CHF 40) for the use of most motorways. The Grossmünster Church is a former monastery built on the graves of the city’s patron saints, Felix and Regula, and is the site of the first secondary school, which according to legend, was founded by Charlemagne. His statue stands on top of the south tower, the Karlsturm.
Lindenhof is an elevated location opposite the Grossmünster Church. From here local residents as well as visitors can enjoy the most beautiful view of the Old Town, Grossmünster, City Hall, the Limmat river, the university and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
The world-renowned shopping boulevard was created after construction of Zurich’s Main Railway Station. Here local residents as well as visitors may fashion, art and Zurich specialties.
The city of Zurich nestles around the upper end of Lake Zurich, while the River Limmat flows right through the middle of the city. A boat trip is the perfect way to explore Zurich from a different perspective.
